Light Up The Night!
We are called to be salt and light. This year, we’re going to push back darkness, dethrone doom, and fight fear!
JESUS Said, "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." (John 14:27)
Join us Calvary Chapel South at 3PM on October 31st!
GET PRAYED UP (a short, fun, and inspiring multigenerational worship service)
GET PREPARED (assemble "fear not" giveaway bags & fuel up on some hot dogs)
(then) GO LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE (in your neighborhood)
We’ll gather at Calvary Chapel South for a short worship and prayer huddle to fill our hearts with the perfect love of God that casts out fear and prepare us to share the hope of Jesus.
Calvary Chapel South isn’t just a beacon on a hill (or rather in a valley) on Smith Street. We are the CHURCH scattered throughout hundreds of communities across the South Puget Sound.
So what might Jesus do if we come together and asked Him to lead us, then step out in faith into our communities; inviting people to church, engaging in spiritual conversations, and pointing others to the one true hope found in Christ!
May we not be ashamed of the Gospel. May we Fear Not, because He is with us wherever we go.
“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you.”— Isaiah 41:10
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHAT ARE WE DOiNG AT 3:00 PM?
We’ll have a short, fun, and inspiring multigenerational worship service to fill us up and equip us to be on mission throughout the rest of the evening, wherever God leads us.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTERWARD?
We’ll have an assembly line of supplies where you can put together “Fear Not Bags” to share with people in your neighborhood. Think gospel tract, church invitation, candy, and more.
We’ll also have a simple meal of hot dogs and chips so you and your family can be fueled up and ready to go.
WHERE WILL WE BE SENT?
That’s up to you! You could stay home and use your “Fear Not Bags” as you welcome trick-or-treaters to your door or grab a few friends and head into your neighborhood for some “reverse trick-or-treating”, going door to door and offering a small gift along with an invitation and the hope of the Gospel.
Our high school ministry is planning to do this together in a nearby neighborhood.
CAN I WEAR A COSTUME?
Absolutely! Costumes are welcome, but they won’t be the focus of the evening. If you choose to dress up, please refrain from costumes that are fear-based or frightening.
Donation Needed
WE NEED LOTS AND LOTS OF CANDY!
All October, we’ll be collecting individually wrapped candy for Fear Not. Bring your candy donations and drop them off in the Calvary Chapel South lobby.
